| So I've been talking with another brother about getting a group together to play some video games. We decided to set a date and see who could come so... a week from this Saturday I'm inviting people over to my house to play Starcraft (may be chess too if anyone is interested). I've got a couple copies available but if you have one of your own that would help things (If you don't we can work that out too). I've checked and Starcraft does work on Vista (with a patch) and I would assume XP as well seeing as it's older though I haven't had a chance to test it. This is an open invitation but I do need RSVP to know how many computers to plan for. Hope everyone's week is going well, I'll post another update on here soon after next week. I didn't realize it had been so long since I'd posted anything. God bless Tim P.S. Bring your own patch cable BTW, and extras if you have them. You never can seem to have enough patch cables. | | |
| I tossed some pictures up of last weekend's festivities. Xanga's photo uploader is kind of freaking out on me for some reason so, if you've noticed a few extra photos from Ice skating already, I got back to uploading the rest. Hope everyone is having a good week God bless Tim | | |
| Last week was the men's study. It was good to see everyone. Hope everyone had a safe trip home. I'm getting ready to post some pictures from the meeting as well as a few different parties and get together at my place throughout the week as well as Leila's (I got your name right this time) last night. Thanks to all the teachers that participated and thanks to all the ladies who handled the food and supplies for the meeting, you all did a really great job. Hope you have a great 2009 and may the Lord bless you richly. Tim | | |
| So I forgot to take my camera to the bowling event last weekend, criminal I know, I'm gonna try and bum some photos of Leila and Jamie, I know they both got a few. Here in an hour or so I'm headed up north for the family festivities. Just thought I would toss out a message to everyone saying happy holidays and God bless. This coming week is the men and woman's study. If your in the KC metro area make sure to stop by your respective genders Bible study. Lots of knowledge, encouragement and fellowship will be had by all I'm sure. I'm always excited to see out of towners, just let me know when you get in and your welcome to come spend time at my place. Also, if you need lodging for the men's study your welcome to stay at our place for as much of the week as you would like. Be safe, enjoy time with family and friends, and praise God for the new year that he gives us. God bless Tim | | |
| Ok, so I checked with Summit Lanes and looks like we are good for bowling Saturday night. We can go early and play till 9:15, or start then and play till midnight. After 9:15 its a flat 14 to play all night for shoes and games, before then its $3 for shoes and $3.75 for a game. That means the break even point is three games for the late night bowling. I'll try to reserve enough to keep it to three-four per lane so we can get in as many games as possible. Let me know what your preferences are one way or another. Also, we'll eat before hand since you can't take any food into the alley. I'll prolly pick up a Poppa Murphies and cook it hear that the house. That's usually the cheapest (not to mention the best) pizza in town. We'll hang out for a while, play games and catch up on the last semester before we go. Figure on being at my place around or before 6:30/7-ish. We'll try and eat around then. Look forward to seeing everyone and hope you have a good rest of the week.
God bless
Tim
Edit: Also, this is an open invitation, if anyone reading this wants to invite someone, feel free. All I need is a head count around noon on Saturday. The more the better.
